Cooling Tower Water Treatment: WT 21

Technical Data

Cooling Water Treatment

Lily WT-21 is a cooling tower water treatment defoulant designed to keep re-circulating systems clear and free of visible algae.

At its initial dose, Lily WT-21 should be added at 1⁄2 to 1 gallon per 5,000 gallons of water in the system. Repeat this dosage until algae in system is under control. At this time, 1 to 3 quarts may be added every seven days or as needed.!

Best results are obtained if a heavily contaminated system is cleaned before first. If this is done, make sure all cleaner is thoroughly rinsed from the system.

During the first week, there may be a sudden appearance of organic debris in the system. This is a good indication that the cooling water treatment chemicals are working correctly. This debris should be removed to avoid clogging the system.

Regular use will help control or prevent algae build-up that is unsightly, produces foul odor and may cause equipment breakdown. It is compatible with most corrosion inhibitors, but should not be used with soap or other anionic detergents. At use dilutions, it is non-corrosive to inanimate hard surfaces.
